PETITION FOR RELEASE

A second petition praying for the release from prison of Douglas Murdoch Martin, of Miramar, Wellington, and the commutation of his sentence, was presented in the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon by Mr. C. H. Chapman (Government, Wellington North). There were 350 signatories to the petition. Earlier in the present session a similar petition signed by 1118 people was presented by the Minister of Public Works (Mr. Semple).
