CONTRACT BRIDGE

At the annual meeting of the Wellington Bridge Club. Mr. W. B. Eainey presided, and trophies won during the year were presented by Mrs. Kainey. Mr. K. W. Mathieson topped the individual ladder and holds the McDermont Cup for a year, and next in order are Dr. H. Finlay, Mrs. C. E. Petry, Mrs. C. Joplin, Mr. W. B. Rainey, and Mrs. G. F. Jackson. The club championship teams-or-four tournament was won by Dr. Hutchison's team (Mrs. Hutchison, Messrs. W. B. Kainey, and 1. Stohr), with Mr. R. L. A. CressweUs team (Messrs. C. Wilson, G. Roper, and P. Bryden) second. Mr. Ashley Duncan's team (Mra. Duncan, Dr. and Mrs. Hutchison) won the teams-of-four Yankee tournament, with MX. 1/ Stohr's team (Mesdames E. Johnston and A. Houston and Mr. li. Schneideman) second. The "two-life" teams-of-four was won by Mrs. C L. Petry's team (Mesdames A. Tonkin, H. B Hornibrook, and E. M. Hodglns), and Mrs. Peacock's team (Mesdames J. W. Brodie, H. Nathan, and F. Heading) was second. The teams-of-four "Barclay" movement was won by Dr. Hutchison's team (Mrs. Hutchison, Mrs. Jackson, and Miss Bunny), and Mr. Ashley Duncan's team (Mrs. Duncan, Mrs. Brodie, and Mrs. Johnston) was second. Mrs. Hutchison and Miss C. M. Bunny won the prize for the ladles' pairs afternoon competition, with Mrs. W. E. Eawson and Mrs. H H Young second. Mrs. P. C. Bose, Mrs. G* F." Jackson, and Mr. W. B. Bainoy each received a crystal jug for winning six or more goblets during the year. ... o , The following officers were elected:—President, Dr. W. J.
