OLD BOYS' DAY

Results of sporting events held on Old Boys' Day at Wellington College yesterday were as follows:—

Cricket.—School won two matches and Old Boys'two. Leading scorers for Old Boys were Macdonald (70), Beard (82 retired), and Hart (65).

Tennis.—Results were, Old Boys' names given first:—-Doubles: Chisholm and Pollock beat Brown and Clarke, 9-6; Lahood and George beat Williamson and McLean, 9-4; Sharpe and Joplin lost to Campion and Jones, 7-9. Singles.—Pollock beat Clark, 9-7, Lahood lost to Brown, 7-9; Chisholm beat Williamson.. 9-1; George lost to Molesworth, 8-0; Sharpe lost to McLean, 7-9; Taylor lost to Vallance, 6-9; Chisholm beat Jones, 9-8. The matches were five each, but Old Boys won on the count back of games by 80 to 71.

A. Simpson, R. H. Thornton, A. Fitzgerald, R; S. L. Cole (School), 2. Old Boys won two of the three events.
