CAR OVERTURNS

FOUR PEOPLE HURT

Four people were injured, one seriously, when a" car overturned in Cable Street about 3.20 a.m. today. The accident took place near the Free Ambulance station, and the injured people were quickly given attention and taken to hospital. They were:— Miss J. Mason, waitress, Midland Hotel, fractured left arm, injured left ribs, and shock; Miss V. Blundell, stenographer, 78 Tasman Street, abrasions to face and shock; Petty Officer M. Hay, 77 Orangi Kaupapa Road, injury to right ankle and shock; Mr. J. E. Lambourne, R.N.V.R. headc uarters, telegraphist, shock. All except Miss Mason were later discharged from hospital.
