For the first day of the Forbury Park Trotting Club's Spring Meeting yesterday, the weather was for the most part overcast. The track was soft, but improved as racing progressed. The totalisator handled £28,499, compared with £20,239 10s on the first day last year, which was a Thursday, and £29,291 10s on the second day (Saturday).
