ATTACK BY R.A.F.

IMPORTANT RAILWAY

ADDIS ABABA TO JIBUTI

LONDON, November 17,

A communique issued in Aden tonight says that the vitally important Addis Ababa-Jibuti railway is believed to have been damaged by Royal Air Force bombers on Friday. Two attacks were made on Diredawa, one of the principal stations on the line. Bombs were seen to fall among the buildings, and it is believed that the track and a bridge were hit.

Diredawa has been raided nine times during the past week.

It is also reported that bombs were dropped on Assab, a town in Italian Eritrea.
