TWO KILLED
SMASH NEAR BULLS
CAR HITS STATIONARY
TRUCK

WANGANUI, November 17,
Two men were killed when a car collided with a stationary motor-truck on the Bulls-Marton highway late on Saturday night. They- were:
Herbert Mexted Blunden, single, 29, farm labourer, Kakariki, near Halcombe. ' '
Alfred lan Armitage, single, 13, farm hand, Bulls?
Blunden was killed outrignt and Armitage died shortly afterwards. The accident involved a sedan car, driven by Private Percy Wooton, Trentham Military Camp, and. a light truck driven by Blunden. Blunden's truck was stationary, having stopped after passing Armitage, who was on a cycle. Armitage and Blunden were conversing close to the right-hand running board of the truck when the car driven by Wooton struck them. Wooton -was travelling from Marton to. Trentham.
