PERSONAL NOTES
Mrs. M. Gudgeon and her daughter, Miss Cecily Gudgeon, of Ruatoria, who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Golding, Eastbourne, are now staying at the Waterloo Hotel.
Mrs. N. Lewer, Palmerston North, is visiting Wellington, where her elder daughter, .Miss Patricia Lewer, is training as a nurse at the Wellington Hospital.
Mrs. W. L. Fitzherbert, Palmerston North, and her daughter, Mrs. Marchbanks, of Wellington, are visiting Rotorua.
Mr. and Mrs. E. Gordon Anderson, Wellington, left by plane for Nelson yesterday to attend the Nelson Boys' College sports. They expect to be absent from Wellington for ten days.
Mrs. E. Hammond, Waverley, is spending a holiday at Wellington.
Mrs. H. Petre and Miss Eileen Bosworth, Palmerston North, are spending a few days in Wellington.
Professor James H. Gilbert and Mrs. Gilbert and their son, Mr. Walter Gilbert, of Oregon, United States, are visiting Queenstown after a brief visit to Invercargill.. Before coming to New Zealand a few weeks ago, they spent five or six weeks in Australia, and in a fortnight's time will leave on their return to the United States.
Mrs. Howard Cook, Island Bay, is a visitor to Nelson for the Nelson College annual sports.
Dr. and Mrs. Louis Cohen, Wellington, are visiting the South Island.
