BOMBS FOR ROME
WARNING BY BRITAIN
LONDON, November 7. The British Government has taken note of the Italian statement that Italian airmen and Italian aircraft have taken part in the bombing of London, and accordingly reserve full liberty of action in regard to Rome. LONDON, November 7. An American radio station, quoting today from a report by its observer in Rome, said that city authorities in Rome have ordered full speed ahead, on the construction of air-raid shelters. All owners of buildings, apartments, and houses have been told to have their shelters started by November 15. If they do not, says the report, the Government will build them at the expense of the owners.

In a broadcast, Signor Ansaldo explained the difficulties of the war. He said that conditions in Greece made it impossible for a blitzkrieg similar to that in Poland and Flanders. Tanks were of no use in the mountain regions, and the effectiveness of aircraft was limited.
