Seas in Cook Strait were very rough this morning, and too heavy for small coastal craft. The inter-island steamer Wahine, running before the weather, reached Wellington on schedule and the Pakura, also from Lyttelton, reached port without difficulty. Other coastal vessels at sea, however, have had to make to shelter. The small motor-ship Hawera was reported this morning to be sheltering off Titahi Bay.
