STARS CLASHING AGAIN

(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.)

rr*. «tt SYDNEY, October 28. The Heralds" Melbourne correspondent says that the meeting of Beau Vite, Ajax, and Beaulivre. who finished m that order in the W. S. Cox Plate at Moonee Valley, with half a neck and half a head separating them, was so inconclusive that the L. K. S Mackirinon Stakes at Flemington next Saturday transcends the Derby, run on the same day, in public interest. In the Mackinnon Stakes the three horses will again be starters, and High Caste, the conqueror of Ajax in the Caulfield Stakes, may also run.

Gladynev, who was favourite for the Moonee Valley Cup. fell near the three furlongs. He was moving up at the time, but it is doubtful if he had a chance of filling a place.
