HONOURS TO WELLINGTON
The honorary secretary of the Australasian Institute of Secretaries, Mr. E. M. Bardsley, has received advice that at the September examinations of the institute the first and third places for Australia and New Zealand were gained by. Miss Joyce Treloar and Mr. Ronald Baird, both of Wellington. ; As the examinations are conducted throughout New Zealand and all the Australian States, Miss Treloar has not only gained distinction by being first on the list but also by securing the highest average percentage pass, so that in effect she has a double first. Only once previously in the history of the institute, and that in the year 1927, has the success of first place been gained by a lady. Miss Treloar is accountant for the firm of Health Foods, limited, and Mr. Baird is with the firm of Messrs. Chapman, Tripp, Watson, James, and Co.
