RAID SALVAGE MATERIALS
LONDON, October 22. London's wrecked buildings are yielding much salvage for the war effort. All bricks, timber, and slates that s can be used are going to local authorities for A.R.P. work. Iron and steel are going to the Ministry of Supply, and broken tiles and slates ax~e. being . used for road-making. A use has not yet been found for the mountains of broken glass. '
