TAKING OF CENSUS

MEN FOR ARMED FORCES

NEW YORK, October 22. The Washington correspondent of [the "New York Times" says that the Japanese Government is making a Census of all Japanese subjects in the United States, Hawaii, Canada, and leading South American countries, to be completed by November 20. It is designed to determine those required to serve in the armed forces of Japan in 1941 and to discover the property holdings of Japanese, also their professional and educational qualifications.
