BUILDING SOCIETY DIVIDEND.
A net profit of £6279 is shown in the accounts of the United Permanent Building and Investment Society of Auckland for the year ended September 30. This compares with £6177 the previous year, and £6031 in 1938. The directors recommend a final dividend of 3 per cent., making 5J per cent, for the year, against 5 per cent., which has been, maintained for some years.
