Mrs. Basil Collyns, Marlborough, who has been staying with Mrs. Eric Reeves in Wellington, returned south last week.

Mrs. R. G. Entrican, Takapuna, Auckland, is visiting her daughter, Miss Shirley Entrican, Wellington.

Mrs. C. Johnston, Wellington, who is staying with Mrs. P. R. Woodhouse, "Bluecliffs," Canterbury, will shortly visit her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Mullins, Timaru.

Miss Jean Begg, of New Zealand, who has been national general secretary of the Y.W.C.A. in India, has been appointed to an emergency service in Egypt.

Sister S. McKay, of the staff of the Dunedin Hospital, will leave shortly to take zip the position of matron at the Burnham Military Camp Hospital.

Miss D. Pegden, Palmerston North, is the guest of Mrs. H. H. Green, of Wellington.

Mrs! A. Best, the Rev. H. A. Hayden, and Mr. T. McCorie, England, who were escorts to a party of English children that arrived in New Zealand recently, have left on their return to England.

Miss H. G. Smallbone, senior tutor sister at the Napier Hospital, has been appointed sub-matron at the Waikato Hospital in the place of Miss E. G. Jenkins, now matron at Tauranga.

Dr. and Mrs. Mackellar, Dimedin, and Mrs. Tredray, Wellington, are the guests of Mrs. W. Raymond, Timaru.

Miss E. R. Bridges, Wellington, staying at Auckland.

Mrs. Roy Davys, Roseneath, left today for a week's visit to Napier.

Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Fotheringham have returned to Wellington after a fishing holiday in Pahiatua.
