ELECTORAL PROVISION
Members of the New Zealand Forces who are qualified to vote for the election of members 61 Parliament, and at any licensing poll, are empowered to do so by a clause in the Electoral Amendment Bill, which was introduced in the House of Representatives this afternoon. Any person who is registered as an elector of any electoral district can vote as an elector of that district. Those not so registered are empowered to vote as electors of districts in which they resided before they left • the Dominion. Power i» taken to issue regulations, to for voting overseas. Another clause in the Bill lays'it down that members of the forces ara not disqualified from being members of Parliament, A member of the forces is thus enabled to stand for Par.Uament, or may be appointed to -the Legislative Council. • —,-,
