JAP AN-AXIS PACT
EFFECT ON PACIFIC
AUSTRALIAN COMMENT
LONDON, September 30,
The first official Australian comment on the Axis-Japanese pact was made today by the Minister of External Affairs, Mr. J. McEwen. It was not yet known how far the pact would extend into the Pacific but, whatever the terms of the alliance might be, there remained immediate and complete unity in Australia.
