ST. ANDREW BURNS CLUB

The Rev. D. D. Scott spoke on "Scotland's Struggles for Freedom" at the monthly meeting of the St. Andrew Burns Club.

"The history of Scotland's struggles for freedom." he said, "whether in the assembly hall or on the battlefield, is only one chapter in the record of Britain's achievements for liberty. Elsewhere in the British Isles, in other British churches, and by means of the Parliamentary system and different institutions. Britain possesses a spiritual treasure for which she is prepared to undergo, the sacrifices she is now making with the hope that liberty will become a regnant force in all the earth."

Artists who contributed to the evening's entertainment were' Mrs. Halvorsen. Miss J. Hogg, "Miss Halvorsen, Mr. G. Morrison, Mr. D. N. Keith, and Mr. T. Morrison. The pianist for the evening was Mrs. F. W- London and. the' song leader, Mr. Keith. Pipe music was supplied by Piper R. MacKenzie,.
