Among the gifts received by the ] Minister of Aircraft Production, Lord ' Beaver brook, is one of £50 from the British community in Magallanes, Chile. The newspaper "Cyprus Post" has collected a further sum of £1500, making a total of £4000 for the purchase of a fighter plane.
