TRIBESMEN DEFEATED
N.W. FRONTIER CLASH NUMBER OF CASUALTIES i (Received August 30, 12.30 p.m.) SIMLA, August 29. Fifty North r west Frontier tribesmen were killed arid a considerable number wounded as a result of operations conducted by British forces which ended ,iv a heavy defeat for the tribesmen. [The British lost three killed and I twenty wounded. The tribesmen have ' been very active recently, and the British forces retaliated by attacking a village.
