GERMAN COMMUNIQUE

(Received August 30, -1 p.m.) LONDON, August 29. A German communique states: "Our bombers yesterday attacked aerodromes at Eastchurch and Southend and successfully raided the harbour at Bognor Regis. Stronger attacks were launched lasl night against the harbour at Liverpool, and also at Cardiff. Bristol. Middlesbrough, Chatham, Thameshaven, and also on armament centres at Sheffield, Norwich, and Coventry. Air fights developed at several places. Thirty-eight English planes and 12 German planes were shot down."
