BUSY FACTORIES
ROOM FOR WOMEN
Factories engaged in the manufacture of military requirements were capable •of absorbing more female operatives, the Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. D. G. Sulli-
van) stated today, and if there were still former operatives who could see their way clear to return to work he would ask them to do so. All units of the woollen trade were working at maximum pressure, the Minister added. While civilian requirements had been relegated to a secondary place, no effort was being spared to increase production still further to enable a greater supply to J be made available for normal needs.
