PATRIOTIC EFFORT NETS £50

The Wellington Licensed Victuallers' 'Association held its annual golf tournament on tlie Manor Park links recently, when some 70 players took part. Upwards of £50 was. raised for the National Patriotic Fund during the day. Results of competitions are :—- Retailers' championship: 3. L. Black: run-ner-up, J. Power. Cascade trophy: R. Berryman. Best gross score: J. L. Black, 73. The match between teams representing the wholesalers and retailers was won by the wholesalers by eight games to four.
