INDO-CHINA BORDER
IF JAPAN MOVES
CHINA WILL FOLLOW
(Received August 29, 10.30 a.m.) CHUNGKING, August 28. The Foreign Minister, Mr. Wang Ching-hui, stated that China had learned thst J.apan was planning to land troops, in Ihdo-China and also take other military action in Indo-China with a view to attacking China. "China," said Mr. Wang, "considers the entry of Japanese forces into IndoChina on any pretext as a menace to Chinese territory and consequent" would immediately and in self-d?l>nce send Chinese troops to Indo-Chma. Chinese troops at present near the Indo-China border have been ordered not to march across the frontier so long as Japanese forces fail to appear in Indo-China."
