WELLINGTION REPERTORY THEATRE.

As English as Yorkshire pudding but a good deal more digestible is "When We Are Married," Mr. J. B. Priestley's uproarious comedy which the Wellington Repertory Society is to present for five evening and one matinee performance in the Concert Chamber of the Town, Hall, commencing on Tuesday next at 8 p.m. The matinee performance will be given on the following Saturday, starting at 2.15. There is no plot in the piece. It just happens that three respectable middle-class Yorkshire couples, celebrating their silver wedding, discover that, owing to a technical hitch, they were never properly married at all. This astounding information, given them by the village organist, is overheard by the bibulous charwoman and "the fat's in the fire" to some purpose. To describe the scenes and situations that follow would serve no useful purpose here, but their entertainment value is priceless and must be seen to be appreciated. The whole action of the piece is continuous, but is played in three acts to give patrons "a breather." Leo dv Chateau is producing the farce with Mesdames R. B. Ashe, M. Teward, W. G. Ross, C. Anderson, C. Gyles; Misses Sibyl Reynolds, Barbara Pulley, and Messrs. J. V. Burton, A. Ashley-Jones, G. O. Cooper H. A. Painter, Stan Vinsen, P. B. Benham, John Fox, Maurice Hood, and Bernard Withers. The box plans are at the D.1.C., and other particulars are advertised.
