ALEXANDER MINES REPORT.

Alexander Mines reports for the week ended August 22: —No. 6 intermediate stope drive north driven sft, face now being 21ft north of intermediate face. Reef showing in face 78in in width, with a little stone going underfoot. This face has been stopped for few days to drive intermediate north to facilitate handling of ore broken. No. 6 intermediate level driven sft, face being in country rock with band of stone lOin wide showing on eastern side. Stoping carried on as usual, lode varying in width from 3 to 4ft. Sent to battery, 50 tons.
