IN OUTSKIRTS OF CITY
LONDON, August 26
London had another air-raid warning shortly before midnight tonight. Unofficial reports state that.the raiders dropped some bombs in one area, and explosions have been heard in the south and the east. The raid is still in progress, and agency messages state that the raiders appear to have split up into three groups which are flying round and round in circles, followed all the | time by searchlights. One message says it is generally believed that the number of raiders is small. Anti-aircraft guns are in action. Berlin had an air-raid alarm tonight for the second night in succession. The all-clear signal was sounded after 40 minutes.
