AUCKLAND, August 26,
The second round of matches in the New Zealand women's hockey tournament was played under ideal conditions. Results were as follows: —
A Section.—Auckland B 4 (Misses Spiers 2, Bilkey 2) beat Ashburton 0; Wellington 3 (Misses Yeatman, Oliver, Green) beat Akitio.
B Section. —Auckland A 2 (Miss Spring 2) beat Wanganui 0; Wairarapa 3 (Misses Maloney, McCarey, Ross); beat Rangitikei 1 (Mrs. Hammond); Canterbury, a bye.
