CAIRO, August 25.

The military spokesman said: "The Italians are making feverish efforts to repair the damage done to Fort Capuzzo and to improve the defences in that area generally. Air photographs showed that the naval bombardment on August 17 was very effective and that much valuable material suffered from the shelling."
