WANGANUI, August 25. The Trentham Army Rugby team beat Wanganul on Saturday by 15 points to 9. The weather was ideal for football and there was a crowd estimated at 2000. A decisive factor in the Army side's win was the excellent handling by the forwards. They figured in a number of dashing movements. Wanganui were superior in the loose. D. G. Barton, the former Wanganui player and captain of t the Army team, played a flne game in the backs. Points for the Army were scored by D. Barton (a try and conversion and a penalty goal). It. Natusch (a try), and A. S. Ronnie (a field goal). For Wanganui, R. Phizacklea scored a try and kicked a penalty goal, and W. Firman scored a try.
