This donation follows closely on that given by the club for the purchase of the 15,000 cigarettes and is the direct result of members of the club having read the published announcement of the request received recently by the board for more radio sets for the First Echelon.

The radios the board has sent are six-valve dual-wave battery sets in. a specially-strengthened outer case to enable the sets to be moved easily and without damage, and the batteries are also specially cased. Mr. G. A. Hayden, secretary of the board, stated today that about 30 more sets were required for overseas. He expressed appreciation of the latest gift from th« A.M.P. Society's social club.
