PLEA FOR PENSIONERS
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—From the remarks made by the Minister of Finance at Auckland last Friday, it would appear that the Government is considering the question of making the 5 per cent, wage increase granted by the Arbitration Court apply to more than those receiving minimum award rates. If this should be so, would the Government also include in th* increase those people receiving pensions, and those on fixed incomes, as their lot is even more hard than that of trades unionists and they have no organised body to plead their cause before any tribunal. —I am, etc., MENDICANT.
