The Athens correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain says that the Italian and German Ministers in Athens are reported to have sent a message to the Prime Minister, General Metaxas, suggesting that Greece formally renounce Britain's guarantee of Greek independence and territorial integrity. A message from Rome says authoritative circles denied reports that Italy intends to make territorial demands on Greece and Yugoslavia. These sources emphasised, however, that "Italy has taken a grave view" and again alleged that the Albanian subject Daut Hoggia was murdered by Greeks.

Signor Farinacci challenged Switzerland's neutrality and asserted that the Swiss Press was offensive to Italy and Germany.
