FOR THE BLIND
WELLINGTON SOCIAL CLUB
The Wellington Social Club for the Blind has thoroughly justified its inception, says the fifth annual report of the club. Finance has played an important part, as the club depends upon donations, grants, sub-letting of premises, art unions, etc., but although, payments have totalled £339 12s Id, there was a'credit balance of £170 in, the Post Office Savings Bank, as well as a credit balance in the Bank of New Zealand, at May 31 last. Various social functions and outings were held. Talking book and ordinary book reading classes have been, continued weekly. The public are asked to give attention. |to white sticks carried by blind people. . Thanks are extended to all those who have helped the club.
