WELLINGTON TEAMS AUCKLAND AND MANAWATU GAMES Two Wellington Association football teams, one from first A division players to meet Auckland for the Frank Campbell Rose Bowl, and one containing first A and B division players to play Manawatu, were announced by j the sole selector, Mr. E. J. Gates, today:— The team against Auckland will be as follows: — Goalkeeper: Turkington (Marist). Full-backs: Bolton (Waterside) and Harris (Waterside). Halves: Calder (Waterside), A. Gates (Technical), and C. MacGregor (Swifts). Forwards: McCarthy (Waterside), Walker (Waterside), Baker (Swifts), Hatchard (Marist), captain, and Price (Marist). Reserve: Longbottom (Waterside). The team to play Manawatu will be:— Goalkeeper: Delaney (Petone). Full-backs: Boyd (Training College) and K. Yeoman (Seatoun). Halves: Scott (Institute), Boyes (Seatoun), and Dry lie (Moera Stop Out). Forwards: Edmonds (Seatoun), Heath (Diamond), Jeromson (Moera Stop Out), Shankie (Swifts), and Hickmott (Swifts). Reserve: MacLaggan (Petone). Both games are to be played at the Basin Reserve next Saturday. Any player not available should notify Mr. Gates or Mr. W. J. Arcus, secretary of the Wellington Football Association, before Wednesday afternoon. Players to meet Manawatu must supply, white shorts and stockings, and assemble at the south gate of the Basin Reserve at 12.50 p.m. on Saturday.
