CLAN MACKAY SOCIETY
The third annual meeting of the Clan Mackay Society was held on Saturday night. The president, Mr. Duncan Mackay, was in the chair. He referred to the large number of young members now on active service and also to the number of new members who had joined the society during the year, the membership now being 112. The election of officers resulted. — President, Mr. Duncan Mackay; vicepresidents, Mrs. G. R. Mackay, Dr. A. R. F. Mackay, Messrs. Andrew A. Mackay, and I. K. Mackay; councillors, Mrs. Lan K. Mackay, Mrs. G. R, Mackay, Mrs. Andrew Mackay, Mrs. I. E. Mackay, Mrs. F. A. Knight, and Miss Margaret Mackay, Messrs. I. E. Mackay, E. L. Mackay, W. R. Mackay, and J. C. Mackay, jun.; retiring councillors, Mrs. Lan Mackay, Messrs. D. W. M. Mackay, John H. Mackay, and Aircraftman John Mackie; hon. treasurer, Mr. E. G. Mackay; hon. secretary, Mr. Angus Mackay; hon. auditor, F. A. Knight; hon. bards, Mrs. Mona Tracey and Mr. Reg. Morgan; clan official piper, Miss Gracie Mackay. The annual report was read and adopted, and the balance-sheet, which showed a large surplus, was acclaimed as the "real Mackay." The remainder of the evening was occupied with dancing, interspersed with items by Mrs. K. Wilson, Air Sergeant Noel Mackay, Mr. D. D. Mackie, Mr. Norman Mackay, and Mr. D. E. Mackay. The accompanists were Mrs. K. Wilson, Master Douglas Mackay, and Miss Gracie Mackay. At the conclusion of the entertainment the president, on behalf of the society, farewelled Air Sergeannt Noel Mackay and Aircraftman John Mackie. ■ • * '
