WIDOW GETS £2500
HUSBAND FATALLY INJURED
: A jury of ■'twelve in the Supreme Court, has .awarded .£2500 general damages to .Gladys Billows, of Wellington, oil a claim for £ 3000 for the death 6f her husband, Frederick William Billows, who was knocked down in Taranaki Street on March 21, from Cedric Gay, a labourer^ of Wellington. Billows died in hospital, on April 7, and Mrs. Billows sued for herself and her four children whose : age ; s range from seven to seventeen: .".The jury granted the full, special damages, £23 4s.- v. -^ \ ■' :■:'■ : ■■ ■ -.- ■■
