WAR ACCOUNT

ITEMS OF EXPENDITURE

An urgent question addressed to the Prime Minister in the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon by Mr. J. A. Lee (Democratic Labour, Grey Lynn), on behalf of the member for Napier (the Hon. W. E. Barnard), asked whether, during the present session, he would afford the House an opportunity of discussing the items of estimated expenditure which comprise the War Expenses Account, amounting, according to the Budget, to £37,500,000.

Replying, Mr. Fraser said it was not proposed to discuss items of estimated expenditure in the War Expenses Account in the ordinary course of discussion in the House, but whatever information could be provided for the members of the House during the next secret session would be given.
