Mrs. L. B. Clark, Webb Street, has1 returned home after spending a short holiday at the Station Hotel, Auckland, where her husband joined her upon his return from overseas. Mrs. G. G. McFarlane, Brooklyn, has returned from a visit to Australia. Miss Janet Kerr, who has been visiting Mrs. Eeg. Rosvall, "Taupata Park," Takapau, has returned to tonMr, and Mrs. Hamilton Redwood, Marlborough, will arrive in Christchurch today for the marriage of their son, Mr. Francis Redwood, to Miss Peggy Hall on Wednesday. They are accompanied by Mr. P. Redwood. Mrs. Marshall Macdonald, Grant Road, has returned to Wellington after spending four months in Australia. Miss Elizabeth Acland, daughter of Sir Hugh and Lady Acland, "Chipperiham," St. Albans, Christchurch, who has been for some years in • England, where she qualified as an almoner a year ago, and has since been practising her profession in London, is at present visiting her sister-in-law, Mrs. Colin Acland, near Durban, .South Africa. Mr. Colin Acland has enlisted for military, service. Mrs. W. L. Rutledge, Matawai, and Mrs. W. Robson, Ormond, are Gisborne visitors to Wellington. ; Dr. and Mrs. Derek Symes will leave Christchurch tonight for Auckland, where they will spend a short time before Dr. Symes leaves for England. Mr&. F. E. Gaddum, Waingake, Gisborne, is visiting Wellington. • 1 Mrs. Rewi Murray, Marlborough, is visiting Wellington and is the guest of her mother, Mrs. F. Leckie, Tinakori Road. Members of the Orpheus Choir, Christchurch, with Mr. F. C. Penfold as' conductor, will leave on Thursday night for Wellington to take part in the Centennial Choir Festival.
