CANTERBURY TITLE
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 26. D. G. Squire,, of the Timaru Club, decisively won the Canterbury cross-country championship over a 10,000-metre course at Cashmere in 39mln ssec. C. Johns (Timaru) was second and R. Mooney (Christchurch) third. A. H. Wayman (Methodist), last year's champion, from a bad start, finished strongly for fifth place. Christchurch won the teams' event from Timaru, with Rover Scout third.
