The following is the official weather forecast for the 24 hours from noon today:— Winds. —Northerly to north-westerly prevailing from the Wellington Province southward, but variable over the northern half of the North Island; light to moderate generally at first, but freshening in areas about Cook Strait and later in exposed positions in the south.
Seas.—Slight or moderate, but gradually rising in Cook Strait and south of Westport. Weather.—For the most part fair to fine, but with increasing cloud, especially in western and southern areas of the South Island. Cold night but rather milder day temperatures. SUN, MOON, AND TIDES.
