(By Telegraph—Press Association.) ROTORUA, This Day. The Rotorua Racing Club's Patriotic Meeting opened today in perfect weather. The track was in good order and there was a good attendance. Results:— Farewell Handicap, £100; 1 mile and 160 yards. —4-4 Hunting Bee, 8.4 (G. Smith), 1; 1-1 Esquire, 9.9 (Collett), 2; 3-3 Pleuron, 8.0 (McTavish), 3. Also started: 2-2 Little Ruse, 5-5 Maxown, 6-6 Gas Acre, 7-7 Gay Ball, 9-9 Illimani, 8-8 Waiteti. Nose; one and a half lengths. Time, lmin 52 4-ssec.
July Hack and Hunters' Hurdles, £100; about 1£ miles.—2-2 Black Musk, 10.2 (Muir), 1; 4-3 Radiant Bay, 9.0 (Fergusson), 2; 1-1 Rarotonga, 10.5. (Mcßae), 3. Also started: 7-7 Mungacre, 6-6 Etcetera, 5-5 Gael, 4-3 Hutana, 8-8 Little Scotch, 9-9 Pal. Time, 3min 3 2-ssec.
