ADJUSTMENT OF INTERIM DIVIDEND
The Inspector of the Union Bank of Australia, Ltd., has received a cable message stating that the previous announcement of interim dividend for the year ending August 31, 1940, of 3s per share, being at the rate of 3 per cent., has been adjusted in accordance with the Supplementary United Kingdom Income Tax and that the tax is now 6s in the £ (the standard rate of 8s 6d in the £ less Dominion relief of 2s 6d in the £). The dividend is payable on August 14, 1940, at the current rate of exchange for demand drafts on London at the date of the dividend warrants.
