WHALE IN TRAWLER'S NET
James K. Owens, owner and,, inaste* of the small trawler Helen Dawn, had • a frightening experience off the south : coast of New South Wales when a 50ft ' whale became entangled in the lines of his net. .... "When it first started to tow ma ! along I-, thought .it was a submarine. I was relieved to find it was only a whale," said Mr. Owens. The whale ' towed the ship for several hours before becoming exhausted. Mr. Owens \ then started to tow his catch. to .' Ulladulla, 12 miles away, but, entering Ulladulla Harbour, the whale, revived [ and broke away.
