ABATTOIR WORKERS' AWARD

Decision was reserved by the Court of Arbitration yesterday afternoon on the terms of a new award for abattoir workers in the Wellington industrial district. The principal points to be settled by the Court concerned hours of work, rates of pay, overtime, holidays, the provision of dressing, diningand drying-rooms, and the term of the award. The Court consisted of Mr. Justice Tyndall, Mr. W. Cecil Prime, and Mr. A. L. Monteith. Mr. W. E. Sill appeared for the union, and Mr. W. J. Mount joy for the employers.
