REPORT DENIED

An unofficial report that Lieutenant Reginald Joseph Braithwaite Miles, Papatoetoe, Auckland, was saved from the aircraft-carrier Glorious, is denied by official advice received in Wellington. "The report that Lieutenant Miles was saved," states the message, "is entirely without foundation. Lieutenant Miles has not been seen or heard of since a few minutes before the Glorious sank." Lieutenant Miles's father is Brigadier R. Miles, at present with the New Zealand Forces overseas. His three sisters live in Wellington.
