HONOLULU, July 23.

Colonel Clarence Young, manager of Pan-American Airways Pacific division who is a passenger in the American 'Clipper, said that Britain had invited Pan-American Airways to use Suva as a base between Canton and Noumea. He said discussions were orogressing to make Suva a regular port of call en route to the Antipodes. Returning from Noumea the clipper circled Suva to inspect the landing facilities from the air. The clipper arrived at Honolulu at 4.5 p.m. ____________
