THOSE DOING SERVICE
In addition to the members of the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force, the men at home defence, stations and those in other branches o£ the fighting services are looked after by the National Patriotic Fund Board and the provincial patriotic councils, and have been supplied with comforl* and various amenities to improve their conditions.
In the last week or two, the personnel of minesweepers has been supplied with wireless sets, gramophones, and. records, balaclavas, scarves, mittens, pullovers, and. sea-boot stockings. Steps were also taken recently to provide a wireless set for the port examination vessel at Wellington, and books and magazines for the Air Force Training Centre at Rongotai.
From time to time articles have been supplied to the men at the home defence stations, and comforts have also been sent to New Zealanders stationed at outposts overseas.
