WORDS OF TRAITOR
MAN SENT TO PRISON

LONDON, July 18,
A 50-year-old London ex-serviceman, Bernard Wardle, was sent to prison for three months for trying to entice New Zealand soldiers from their duty. Wardle told two New Zealanders, "You don't want to die in this war."
The Magistrate said, words of a traitor."
